i have an xmt 304with a 22 a wire feeder. My brother saw an optima 450 pulse mig module at a sale today for 50 bucks. He said it looked new inbox, never been used. I dont think its compatible with my 304 as the manual say it works on an xmt 300. he said it has a 16 or 17 pin plug on it so that obviously wont work with the 14 pinon my welder.my question is does miller or anyone make an adapter from the 14 to 17 and if so would it work with my welder. I think the pulse controller was made in 1994 so it seems to be a lil older than my machine. i bought it just in case it would work and for 50 bucks it was worth the risk compared to 1700 for the new controller from miler.
