Reply:The A sized Oxygen bottle is 232cf, the B sized acetylene is 145 cf, so these are significantly larger than what you guys are talking about.  The A size oxygen is about $18 to refill and the acetylene is around $30 to refill here in ks. Reply:In and around the North East, those bottles can only be leased and will not be filled or swapped at the LWS without a rental and deposit. Smaller ones can. I can't speak for your area as I don't know. I guess you would need titles to the bottles and current Hydro tests. Reply:They're using a very unusual sizing system then. What you're describing is a K oxygen and a AC4 acetylene. As stated not normally sold though there are a few out there from years ago. I've never heard of a A oxygen at all (and I'm a reseller). Reply:Ok I finally managed to find a reference to a A sized cylinder. Apparently it's what Scott uses. Never dealt with them before. Here's a comparison chart between companies.http://www.airgas.com/content/detail...=7000000000234 It looks like Airgas has changed there official designations because back when I was dealing for them they still called it a K. I also don't know where they got the Linde designations. I did have a old Linde catalog here that had the same designations as the Praxair list there but with much more info.
