Less than respectful.... IMHO

I had more respect for members in the forum until Chad22 took exception to the guy building a trailer in the Youtube video “Guy builds a highway use trailer with 110 volt mig welder”.  Yep, Chad22, you are entitled to an opinion, but obviously you’re interested in bullying and ridicule at the other guys expense.   Others who chimed in with less than positive comments – shame on you too.  I’m a long time lurker and have seen (and made my own) crappy welds – I’ve done some very respectable work too....  I’ve always made it a point to offer constructive advice without reservation – and leave a man to his own vices even if you don’t agree.I came here to learn, and be part of the community – but I”ll depart now.RocketmanRay

Reply:Back when Chad22 first joined, he posted a thread on a trailer mod he did and did not show up again for two weeks or so. When he did he was raked across the coals pretty good, but he is still here. Maybe he is just trying to make himself feel a little better after all of that. Reply:One thing about the guy with the 110v mig is:  did anybody notice his 10# spool mod?  It looked like it was a good mod for someone with that type of welder. His Batmobile wasnt bad but just not for me.
Reply:Not gonna bash on Chad22 but I will say that if I had been standing with the guy building the trailer with the 110v mig I would have been rough on him to his face. Reply:I am not going to bash on anyone..... Lord knows my welds need all the help they can get :-)  One thing I learned about online activity and forums..... everyone has an opinion, including you.. I won't get my feelings hurt if you and I don't agree..... I probably have made more bad welds than the rest of you (I'm a slow learner), but I have learned so much from the people here that far out weighs anything that could possibly ruffle my feathers. Grow a set...... hang around, and if you see something you don't agree with, say so.... there are probably others who feel the same, but won't say so.... maybe others didn't see the light from the same angle that you pointed out... In the sense that Zap was not just being mean telling melon head to wear a helmet. The guy taking exception to bad welds that never wetted in on a highway trailer is not being mean. This is a large group of friends, It's OK to be honest and say what we think.

Reply:At 70 MPH on a Massachusetts interstate near Boston, cars way too close together to drive that speed, cars ahead of me were hitting something without breaking. Not much to do but keep going. I too hit it and I presume a hundred cars behind me also. I believe it to have been a bumper from a pre 1972 VW Bug.If it had been Mr. Flux Core's trailer with his load, the damage would have been much greater. Maybe the incident would include loss of life.  This is why it is so difficult for people like me who overbuild trailers to get them past the DMV.
