Like others out there working out of their garage, space is a big consideration. In an effort to maximize functionality while still being able to maintain a functional garage, I decided mimic a design that another guy did on a tacoma forum. Not the exact same design, but same concept. The plasma table folds down when not in use, and the legs simply come off and store away on the bottom shelf. I may get around to adding hinges to the legs at some point, but for now I have no issues with it as is. There is a 4" hangover on the "fabrication side" and a 2" hangover on the "plasma side" (not literal of course. I plan on skinning out and adding doors to the base so that I can keep stored tools clean of grinding dust, spatter, etc.. This is how it stands as of now though. Casters will be upgraded later (maybe sooner if I add much more) as well..I can currently fit both vehicles in the garage when all of my tools are in their stored position. The true test is when I get my brake and rolls on stands. I will find out for sure this weekend, but feel pretty confident that I will still be able to get everything in there.Attachment 847401Attachment 847411Attachment 847421Attachment 847431

Reply:Sweet! Clean shop and nice tools too.
Reply:NICE !!!  OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, nice finger brake too !
Reply:Nice heavy table and top. Good job.Looking at second picture in Post #2, gave me an idea. Would be neat if the plasma area could slide in and out under the top. Just leave the legs on the outside and pull out on heavy duty slides when needed.Hmmm. I'll have to think about that for my shop.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com
Reply:I just have to ask ,with all the little bikes and scooters do you work at a clown college?
Reply:Thanks for the compliments folks. I look at forums a lot and become inspired inspired by others work regularly. I got the idea from another persons build, modified upon it for my own liking/purpose and hopefully it will help another space challenged fabricator in creating something that works for them.-Niche
Reply:Nice! I want to do that when I get a more permanent welding table.  Currently I have the folding Miller ArcStation... Maybe I should make a plasma table like the ArcStation, it has a 30"x30" top... Woohoo!! new project!
