Could use a bit of advice on stainless for a dog washing station

Yes, I know drag them in the shower or the tub....I have two German Shepherds that get a bath about every other week and I'd like to dedicate a space.  I'd also like to build a stainless urinal out of similar material.  For those of you that have made custom sinks what gauge sheet would you suggest?  18 or 16?  Many thanks.

Reply:I saw something interesting a few weeks back while house shopping.  Somebody had mounted a bathtub at normal counter height to be used as a sink.  Might be an easier option than built from scratch.My name's not Jim....
Reply:I'd say Boostinjdm idea is the way to go. SS can get expensive quick. Do you have access to a shear and press brake? But if you must... do it right.16ga for the body. The backsplash is not necessarily, you could use FRP like they have in that picture. But again if you must, use 20ga glued to the walls.The tub should be made with radius dies, and a dimple die for the drain. Dont forget crossbrakes for water to slope to the drain.Most importantly dont get carried away with the welding. Design it so there is as little of it as possible. Sent from my LGMS323 using Tapatalk
Reply:I saw a DYI a  dog wash station at a car wash . they had a glass room with a stainless table and spray hoses and blow dryer all built on oh yes and there was the coin box timer . but the one you picture is nice for a salon /vets . But you want this for home use. Check out used restraunt  warehouses  and see if you can find a piece of dishwashing station , with sink and drain board then you only have to add the back splash , mount the whole thing on a HF lift table . you can raise it up and down,for dog entry.  gxbxc
