Need some help on TIG welder ID

There's a Sureweld NCG a/c d/c TIG welder for sale locally. I believe it is made by Miller. Can anybody ID the model from the pic? any help appreciated.Jim

Reply:Could be a Miller 320 AB/P or a 330 AB/P.   AIRCO 2A and 3A are similar (they acquired NCG, I think). Reply:Yes it will and yes it will..The two open plugs on the left are where the pedal leads go......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:That's a 330ABP Miller.   Just rebadged.   Pedal alone will run you $100-150,  plus you will need a water cooler if you want full use of it.  Plus a few hundred bucks for torch and leads etc.  I ended up scraping one "Airco" brand. Reply:A foot pedal will cost you $400. Not sure if that machine is worth a total investment of $800-1000 (or more). That's the way you need to think about it. $400 for the foot pedal, plus money for the gas regulator, hoses, and leads. You can probably find the same welder with all that stuff included for $400 if you look hard enough. They are nice welders though. See if you can talk him down to $200, tell him you will pay $400 if it comes with a foot pedal. Just a thought.Miller Multimatic 255

Reply:That NCG unit looks pristine on the outside, but it's the accessories that will nickle-dime you. I agree with Louie's post #10. But do inquire if it has a pedal before you make an offer.If the guy makes noise about scrap value, let him know it's a lot of work to get some copper out of what is mostly an iron machine, and he still has to deal with transporting 800 pounds of stuff. Reply:Thanks again. As far as service...I've got fairly heavy service in the shop, and I wouldn't be running that unit anywhere near its max capacity. I rarely weld anything over 1/4". Mostly I want to weld 1/16" to 1/8" aluminum, and 22 ga. to 1/4" steel. I realize that welder is WAY more machine than I need. It was just reasonably close, and cheap....good attributes...LOLJim

Reply:The guy never did answer my email. I saw the welder is still listed in the ads. Overall, I think I'm better served for what i want to do, by getting an inverter unit. Still watching the reviews on Lincoln's new one. I appreciate all the help.Jim
