Needing a Knee Mill Moved in the Indianapolis Area

Not sure where to put this, but I need a Lagun FTV2 mill moved from Indianapolis to a southern suburb.33 miles one way.Mill is on a professionally built wood skid.Banded / bolted / strapped and ready to go.Pickup location has a forklift.Drop off location doesn't.Won't fit in a f350 or 250. Already tried.Rough weight of 800lbs.Miller Dynasty 200DXMiller Spectrum 250DMiller Millermatic 200Bunch of old blue dinosaurs....

Reply:Rent a trailer and fork lift for the drop-off location. 800 lbs. is a very light weight mill...my Bridgeport which I moved 140 miles and rented a fork lift to remove from my flatbed is around 2200 lbs. The forklift rental was about $220 because I needed the forklift delivered out in the country 10 or so miles from town. Well worth the money and probably much cheaper that having the mill delivered to your drop-off location. Never used the forklift after unloading the mill from the trailer as I needed to do construction for a machine room first before installing the mill inside the room. Quite easy to move the mill on 2" or so short pipe rollers under the base of the mill on concrete floors in the shop. At 800 lbs. I would seriously try moving the mill off the trailer with an engine hoist and using pipe rollers myself. Buy some nylon lifting straps/chokers and don't trust lifting eyes on the top of the mill's ram...if your Lagun has them.EDIT: Or try DinahStevie's suggestion about the towing service. I grew up on forklift working for my dad and if you have no experience with them, bad things can happen. Reply:Remember those are very top heavy and plan and strap down enough to account for that. 2800 lbs dead weight with a lot of it 4 feet of the ground can move a lot in a sharp turn or quick stop. Flip that thing and parts are probably not available at a  price you would want to spend.
