I've had a strange 7/16" Proto combination wrench for about 30 years and never found a use for it, so thought I'd make a tig torch holder out of it. This wrench is an original proto wrench and was made this way. Anyone have a thought as to what it was made for? I have two of them. Attached Images
Reply:Starter wrench?
Reply:Google the Proto part number.
Reply:I would say for the alternator on a Saab if it was 13 MM
Reply:I googled the part # 1214 and nothing resembling the wrench came up. the part # brought up a 7/16 combination wrench.
Reply:Are you sure it came from Proto like that? I see nothing online showing that part number and a bent wrench.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:I really think they came from Proto bent like they are. The bends are pretty tight and there is no indication of clamping or heating to make the bends.
