Cast Stainless???

I found some cast 304 stainless pipe couplings. Can these be easily welded and used for bungs on a tig cooler water tank???
Reply:I haven't had any problems in the past welding on cast 304 pipe couplings.  I'm guessing you won't have any problems either.

Reply:no problems! I have been instructed to weld up more than a few cast threaded fittings that leaked. I believe socket weld fittings are cast as wellbosses stuff:trailblazer 325maxstar 200my stuff:sa 200fronius transpocket 180100 amp Lincoln w/f97 f350 DITKevin
