SA200's

I have 2 SA200 that I am thinking about selling one is a 48 short hood on trailer frame no axle or wheels  with it runs good but dont weld.the other is a 78 and needs shunt coils it is apart but repair funds went kaput, on trailer with axle but no wheels, engine dont smoke and hasn't any oil leeks that I saw. what I would like to know is how much should I ask for these?
Reply:If i was in the market for one id say 50 to 100 each,but seeing as im not you see them unrestored and running for anywhere between 250 and 550 ,with issues like yours  in this market probably 200 .having said that ive seen people pay 500 or better for a continental engine that runs well with no smoke.you might want to consider parrting them out.FelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious,pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"

Reply:Your machines, in the current shape are worth between $200. & $500. apiece, depending on your location. Parting them out will bring more money, if you can find a market (buyer) for them. Reply:I'm not that familiar with Missouri, don't know the job market, etc. But, if there is sufficient pipe line and/or oilfield, construction projects and such requiring mobile welding operations there shouldn't be a problem selling your machines or parts either. The truth is they're worth more parting them out in the current condition than selling them whole.
