Large Concrete filled tread Staircase

Hi all,Here i am again with another staircase build, this time, the threads get welded to the sides of the box stringers and then filled with Polished concrete.So I started off with the 2 large Box Stringers these are 300mm x 150mm x 8mm box sectionover 8 meters long about 24 ft !! Thank god i had an overhead craneI started at the bottom and once i've marked out my angles i tack the treads on, a job like this really needs two people as the treads are pretty heavy for one man to liftLooks almost complete once a run of treads go in
Reply:Getting ready for the next sectionThe Landing Plate was a nightmare to get right as it had a slight curve to it, however tacks every 6 inches and a bit of muscle helped to get it in the right placeTreads welded from inside to startJust checking making sure all is true and levelThe bottom of the staircase will have a landing and 90 degree return flightMe welding
Reply:I laid a sheet of plywood over the tacked treads so i could lay on there and weld the insides of the treadsThats the staircase done from one side but now i need to cut it up into 3 sectionsLast edited by Gerry1964; 11-09-2014 at 12:24 PM.
Reply:I lifted it up with the crane to check my angles and made sure all the overall dimensions were correctI left 3 treads unwelded so i could cut through the stringers, Each section had to go into a lift that was only 3 metres deep, 9ftand thats those pieces cut up now into lift sized chunks lolThe bottom of the staircase i made level so i could build the return flight

Reply:Very nice, man.  I just recently started learning some stair layout stuff.
