Was out in the shop practicing aluminum beads with pulse about 60 cyclesworking ok But when I came into house for coffee the wife says whats going on out in the shop as the lights were pulsing while you were welding Well I am not to worried but will check on this as the shop and house are on 2 separate lines from the meterand really should not effect the houseGuess will have to check with an electrician as to what is going ontrailblazer 302thunderbolt ac dc machine Hobart fluxcoreAHP tig 200x 2015

Reply:Not enough amperage coming from the pole to the meter? Could be causing voltage drop on the whole service.

Reply:Hello akphill, even though you may be on two separate lines they may utilize a common ground and as other have eluded to, you could be drawing different levels of current when your machine is "pulsing". A common ground will essentially "connect" these circuits together and could cause voltages to fluctuate to your lighting in the house. I imagine that more electrically savvy members here can nail this down better. Best regards, Allanaevald
Reply:Does it cause the same phenomenon when on DC?If not, AC mode does not like pulse. Why are you using pulse for AC anyway?Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.

Reply:To add to my previous post, gas type and flow, tungsten stickout and angle, preheat, metal thickness, and travel speed also influence weld cosmetics. Generally a near vertical torch angle is optimal, feeding your filler at a 90 degree angle to the torch, cramming it into the puddle as that is where naturally seeks refuge.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
