HELP!!   I have a bad habit propping on the metal i'm welding. I wear a tillman 820 aluminum glove with the pad on outside. I need to add a liner and wondering what ya'll use. Reply:I have the fig finger for dragging my hand....its my middle knuckle i'm cooking. I'm propping doing vertical up 7018 and Mig groove welds. I put the rod or gun right on my left hand and go to town. Reply:Don't prop on the metal you are welding. If you can't keep stable without propping, rig a secondary prop off table or what ever.
