Reply:I have the same thing, my dad used to use one at work that just had the basics in it and the pouch it was folded up in was plastic, known to dry rot over time.  That tool can be very handy in tight situations.  I wonder if they still make them,  Time to go Google itAnd this will sound ridiculous, but I remember them smelling funny!Last edited by jdu140c; 06-17-2012 at 09:02 PM.Lincoln 140cHypertherm Powermax 45

Reply:Had mine out last night taking apart and old 32 caliber revolver.  I can almost always find a bit that is a good fit for the various gun screws I encounter. If I can make a new trigger spring for the 32 I'll be able to shoot it.
Reply:I have one that is a little different but it is down in the garage if i dont forget I will get a photo in the morning and post.
Reply:Have the same set as yours, you can get replacement parts when needed from the manufacturer (Chapman).  Real nice stuff.  A little pricey though but the replacements are available!  Best  Bob
Reply:Some where I think I have one of those. If not here, than it's down at my parents place in VA..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Yep.   I've had one since the early 70's.  The only difference is mine has a red spring loaded clam shell case.  Bob
Reply:Yep... they were standard issue in our toolboxes. I bought a set for home when the company auctioned off all their stuff when production moved overseas. They are really handy when you have almost no clearance for a standard L shaped allen wrench.PapaLincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
Reply:I have a cheaper version (craftsman) of the little offset ratchet tool, if I lost it today, I would try to find a replacement tomorrow! In very tight places it is a lifesaver for sure!Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power.
Reply:I was give a couple of them a while back, They are re-branded as New Holland.  Handy little set, the only difference in mine I think is it has 6 or 8  quarter inch drive sockets. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives.
Reply:I also own a set. Great item.
Reply:Chapman, our photo shop has owned, lost, had stolen, many of those sets. We still have a couple two - three sets. Those were absolutely necessary to work on the lab equipment. We also had larger tool sets that came in a brown hard vinyl case. They had everything to work on electronics and equipment."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:I have this one. Actually, I have 3. They are extremely handy, and versatile.http://www.eagleleatherworks.com/tools.html

Reply:How ‘bout one of these?Alfred catches someone using a ratchet as a hammer and it's their final company issued tool.

Reply:Yup. Bought it when I was about 16, so 31yrs ago. Cost me about 50GBP (75USD).I bought it to service my guns, at the time the only parallel blade screwdrivers you could get were called Turnscrews. And they were big money.  50notes for the kit at the time was kind of mind boggling Attached Images

Reply:Cool kit but I would never pay $90 for it.
Reply:I've owned several of the Chapman sets over the years. The first one I bought in 1967. It had a red case that the red finish dissolved on when it came into contact with oil, a very big mistake by Chapman.  I now have several of the yellow plastic case sets and, other than loosing a piece every now and then, they are holding up fine. They have been a life saver more often than I care to rememberOh, don't let friends borrow them. They will use the bits, especially the phillips,  in cordless drills and ruin them. I've had to order replacements several times.CharleyMiller MM252Miller Bobcat 225NTMiller DialArc HF / DIY Cooler2 Victor O/A TorchsetsMilwaukee 8" Metal SawMilwaukee Dry Cut "Chop" Saw 5 Ton Wallace Gantry Various Grinders, Benders, etc.Just rembered I had these. They were on sale for just over $6.00, so I bought two. No where near the quality, or price, of a Chapman set, but covers just about everything."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:Just purchased the master kit hard case - I have been looking for a good set for years for oddball stuff. Can't wait to put it to use.I break things for a living...
Reply:Midway USA has these kits.  Go to their sight and type in chapman tool kit and there you have it!  Best  Bob
