As the title states, a basic band saw and drill press stand on wheels. 6011 everything (I'm cheap when it comes to welding wire and gas)..Attachment 899651Attachment 899661Attachment 899671Attachment 899681Attachment 899701
Reply:Attachment 899721I may convert to a wet saw later, but we'll see how the saw holds up to my abuse I plan to throw at her first!
Reply:Looks awesome. Did you base it off one you saw or just build it off the top of your head?Craftsman 90 amp Arc welder
Reply:Your base for the band saw now saves your back with its height and also makes it more stable than the one that came with it. Here's something to think about, now you need an infeed table/conveyor to accept long pieces. Makes life easy.  Best regards, Bob
Reply:Light,I saw the 4x6 mod thread that wquiles posted back in January and that inspired how I mounted the saw over the shaving/coolant pan. (Nice build btw wquiles!) Other than that, I had a hunk of 1/2" plate, tubing and channel left over from my table that I wanted to make use of, so I designed it around that and function mostly. Hopefully one of these days I'll get around to adding coolant.R,Yes! It is no longer a saw designed around somebody 4ft tall! I can't remember the exact height off the top of my head, but no more hunching over the saw with an already shakey back. The only infeed/outfeed that I have right now is a set of rigid saw horses. I did leave a little stub hanging off the outfeed to eventually bolt a fold up/down adjustable cut stop for repeat cuts. First job where I need it will probaby be when I make that. Thanks for the compliments.-Niche

Reply:Those will be real handy for your fabrication projects.
Reply:Nice builds. I especially like the band saw cart but I still have my head steered toward building a folding one since I don't have much room. Someone posted a build of one on here a while back. A lot of work went into it.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:I'm sorry. richey, Gravel, light.. Thanks.
