I recently purchased an Everlast 250EX so I no longer need my Maxstar.Welding package is:Miller Maxstar 150 STL with shoulder strap and adapter(110-220) 10' extension cord for 220v (cost me $90) New 6 pin foot control with 25' cord (cost me $210) Electrode holder with 15' of wire/ New twist loc end Ground clamp with 10' of wire/New twist loc end TIG Flexible Torch with about 20' of wire and hose/New twist loc end Regulator for Gas, Newer Victor HRF2425 Extra Tungsten, Collets and cups Box of Stick welding rods (6011, 6013) Welding helmetEverything works perfect and this is a nice little welder!Asking $850 for package and an extra $50 if you want the cart. (tank not included)I live 60 miles south of St. Louis so pick up is preferred. Shipping is possible but I'm sure it will be expensive!?!?!
Reply:That's not a flex head TIG torch just because the brass gas/conductor tube bends. Do that enough and it's guaranteed to break off. Not knowing how many times it's been "flexed", that torch has been compromised IMO. Do a search of past posts on the matter to see what I'm talking about.Non-flex head on the left (yours) and Flex head on the right.http://www.weldcraft.com/products/wp-series/wp-17/How long have you had the NEverlast? May want to hold on to that Miller for awhile if you have any projects you wish to complete in the near future.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:it's miller and lincoln that had better be paying attention. i have seen the movie played out before. they are selling a load of those 250 ex's. i just bought one myself. how can you not at that price point and with accessories. just recently on this board someone that handles lincoln products announced that you had better buy now because their prices are going up. miller does that a couple of times a year. i've had miller products for a long time and still do but that ex fills a spot that they choose to ignore due to marketing considerations and it is going to cost them big time.personally as far as miller goes screw them, i'm out here taking care of myself, let itw take care of its own.
Reply:never seen anyone get rid of a miller product for an everlast. i have a maxstar 150 stl and love it. it's got me out of more jams and a very versitile piece of equipment. anyway, to each his own, someone will buy it and appreciate it.
Reply:Would you sell the remote separately?

Reply:I suppose next you'd expect me to explain why there's no room for a Yugo in my driveway because it's full of Chevies including a '95 Suburban daily driver that just rolled over 238K. It's a 5 hour drive one way to San Antonio or DFW and I'd fuel it up and hit the road with it tonight if needed no different than throwing a fresh spool of wire and full tank of gas on my or any other MM200 and be confident it would burn wire all day long based on its reputation. One doesn't always have to have "personal" experience to form an educated opinion. I've never been shot but I'm in no hurry to go out and get the personal experience to know I don't want to be.Every piece of equipment in my lineup was selected based on researching the experience reported by others which is why I don't ever see there being a certain green (formerly blue) machine in my welding stable in spite of a previous offer to have one shipped to me at N/C.And yes, I've seen the youtube evaluation by Welding Tips and Tricks on the unit in question and don't dispute that Oleg appears to have taken at least some of the recomendations given to him several years ago by myself and a number of others openly on the forum and in PMs back and forth but there's still an awefull lot of ground to make up IMO.I just made a suggestion that can either be considered or ignored as desired and I hope it all works out for CGCINC.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
