Inch Diameter Corrected

I've many problems when i have to convert ID in IDC please could you explain me , what's the procedure or method to convert my unity in IDC, thanks

Reply:Do you mean nominal diameter (i.e. 2 inch) to actual diameter (i.e. 2" nominal =2.067" for schedule 40 pipe)? Use a chart as is contained here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nominal_Pipe_Size . Take the outside diameter(2.375" for 2 " pipe) and subtract the wall thickness twice (.154" for sch. 40 x 2" pipe) . Note that the OD tolerance is + 1/64" & -1/32".   If this is not what you mean clarify your terms  ID=inside diameter?? and IDC=inside diameter corrected??---Meltedmetal

ID of joint example Ø16" one joint is =16 id,but to convert all the diameter of spool we multiply this diameter to acoefficien of conversion to obtain IDC, like 1 joint of 10"= 10x0.8 in IDC and 12"=12*0.8 IDC its acoefficient to convert all the differents diameter of pipe in a same diameter IDCorrected. Do you understand what i want to explain you ?

Reply:I've new definition, it's the correction of schedule, i explain is a correction for the same diameter but with different schedule, we correct the Ø16" shc 40 to obtain Ø16" sch sdt. we can explain me.
Reply:i find that the correction of diameter is fonction of a chamfer type; example Ø= 12" std ep =9.53mm IDC= ID x K (V chanfer ) for std K=1 =12idx1 = 12 IDC;for the same diameter ep=10.31 mm the K=1.11 IDC = 12 x1.11= 13.32 IDC;do you understand me ?
