I have 2 Oxygen Regulators and an Argon that need rebuilding. What would you do ?
Reply:There are not many left. Your LWS would have one lined up if it is available in your area.
Reply:OAdoctor on here has helped out several folks. I bought some replacement gauges for a few of my regs a while back. Might be worth a call and ask. http://www.regulatortorchrepair.comHere's a thread:http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...torch+exchange"You can't out puke a buzzard"

Reply:^^^^^I had some torch work done by Jim at Regulator & Torch Repair, top quality work. I would definitely use them exclusively."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"

Reply:OK, Thanks! This one is the one pressure gauge and a flow tube by Smith, seen as its only $80(approx), I'll get a replacement. It doesn't hurt to ask! Thanks Again!
Reply:OA Doctor, the compliment wasn't given out lightly, it was earned.
Reply:My equipment has been sent out to regulatortorchrepair.com I will plan on giving a review when they are returned. Thanks.
Reply:I recently met Jim at his shop (I live in the area) and learned more about regulators in the 25 minutes I robbed from his day than I picked up in all the years I've been welding. He rebuilt an old 450D and converted it to a low pressure unit for me (for gas welding aluminum), and we did some horse trading. The regulators he rebuilt for me are better than new, and it's clear he and his staff are meticulous about their work. The prices of his new stuff are as good or better than any online, too.And I guess I should mention that I'm talking about http://www.regulatortorchrepair.com/.Last edited by Buzz Tiggington; 02-16-2016 at 09:13 PM. |
