Reply:Nice job!12v battery, jumper cables, and a 6013.I only have a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/VPT/244788508917829
Reply:Nice. A few things to think about on future ones. Bigger bases for feet are a good idea if it might be used on a lawn. Small legs will quickly get sunk in the ground with the weight of the wood. Center legs would also help with this. Down side of legs in the center is if it is sitting on uneven ground. Then you may have issues with it wanting to rock..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:I agree with DSW. My horizontal piece is 5 or 6" above ground and has plate so as not to sink in the mud.Dave ReberWadsworth Ohio
Reply:I was originally thinking of adding another set of legs in the middle but then I realized using 1.5 x 1.5 square tube with 14 gauge wall thickness should be strong enough. Next time I may make it higher though. I only raised it 2 inches.
Reply:I will add one more suggestion along with the feet.If it's big enough having even a flat strap connecting the top ends will keep it from trying to bow out when it's loaded.
Reply:would i be able to get dimensions for this, that looks about the right size i would like to make up. thanks in advance

Reply:i think i should be able to manage from there, thanks appreciate it.
Reply:If it was going to sit on my Porch, then I would want it at least 4" off the ground to discourage rodents and bugs from nesting in the wood pile.Ask me how I know?????
Reply:^^^^^^^^ black & white rodents by chance???
Reply:If your building a wood rack. . .I would assume you don't live in the country and you really don't burn much wood. But, I could be wrong. Just an fyi most cities require wood to be a min. of 12 inches off the ground.Last edited by woodtick007; 12-16-2014 at 07:46 PM.
