Slide out flange wheel.

I'm putting my first rig together with a truck bed. Ive run out of room in the rear end my tailgate slab hits the rear of my side box... I found a perfect spot for my flange wheel under the side box. My idea is to attach my flange when fixed pipe to a 2" square tubing And slide the square tubing in/out of another peice of square tubing with a slightly larger inside diameter. I'd like to be able to slide it in/out without effort perhaps maybe with some rollers like a drawer or ?? That's the only thing I could think of but Maybe you guys can help me out ,Perhaps someone has did it or knows a better way. I will post pics soon.
Reply:I've been considering the same type of set up to interchange different tools and implements as needed.... so far, most of the square tubing i've come across has no problems sliding in and out of bigger tubing...just thinking of rigging up some set screws on the base peices tubing and adjust as needed.
Reply:Is this for a welding rig will? I was thinking cut the bottem of the base square tubing and put rollers.. But if ur saying the slide with no problem maybe just keep it well lubed, maybe a grease nipple.... I'm also worried about some wobble.... I hate that.

Reply:I'll use 1" ball valve handle welded to 3/4" bolt to tighten it down. Do you happen to know what would slide in 2"x2"x 1/8" tube?
Reply:Looks like 1-1/2" x 1/8"... slides in and out with very little play. I'll likely be finishing up a few cable wraps by this weekend using that sort of jig... hope it works out.
