Need help to ID a part

I wasn't for sure where to post this.I am working on a project with round steel telescopic tubing. I am needing some parts for the project, but I am not sure what the part is called and where you can find it. I am having no luck. I am needing the plastic pieces that you see on hand pole saws or like tripods for video cameras. The piece that goes in between the tubing that you can twist to tighten or loosen to either extend or retract the telescopic tubing. Some of them twist and some just latch tight. Here are some pictures of what I am looking for. If anybody knows what there called or where to buy them let me know. Thanks, Attached Images
Reply:Not much help, but they work the same as machine collets. I'm guessing that they are proprietary to the manufacturer or at least machined/molded to manufacturer's specifications. Never seen them for sale separately. With a lathe they would be no problem to produce...without, not so much.
