Reply:chevyvortechUnresolved fixtures - they should be as 'Zoomie' - as the electrical outlet. Opus.Last edited by OPUS FERRO; 01-08-2015 at 01:38 AM.Reason: Reveal/Fit/Finish
Reply:what do you mean by fixtures cause the outlets are "fixtures". and im not really sure what "zoomie" is Originally Posted by OPUS FERROchevyvortechUgly fixtures - they should be as 'Zoomie' - as the electrical outlet. Opus.
Reply:chevyvortech'Ugly or unresolved fixtures' means: these components are not up to standard with your over-all work.Zoomie/Zoomy - [not Poopie/Poopy].Zoomie means - the design, the fixtures, and the welds, are all in balance - and should be as clean as the E-box.Your design is good - the fixtures are weak - and everyone's welds can always be better. The reveal of your work should be as clean as the E-box.Opus.Last edited by OPUS FERRO; 01-08-2015 at 03:31 AM.Reason: P ain't Z

Reply:Nice job. I like the outlets. Cool idea.
Reply:That thing is awesome! Good proportions with the size of the square tubing. The fit and finish appear to be top notch. Just how heavy is it going to be to move? It doesn't look light.HTP Invertig 221Hypertherm Powermax30 XPPlus other stuff

Reply:Really nice! I've been thinking of making one for some time now. I was afraid that 4" tubing would be too big to look good but I was wrong. What wall thickness did you use?GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:Thanks I think it turned out pretty good. It was all 1/8 wall. I would have gone thinner but it wasn't available at the time. 5" or 6" would have been cool to but it's heavy enough as it is lol Originally Posted by GravelReally nice! And the best of all is that I built and installed everything else but... my father in law supplied and glued the mirror! And since you guys won't probably believe me...Wooden structureInstallation in progressMy Dad (with glasses) and my cousin helping out supporting the structure. I am the ugly guy with the white shirt looking funny (to say the least)So as not to ask them to stay put for say, 20 minutes, we supported the wooden structure using a masonry tool I borrowed from a friend. It is spring loaded. We used six of them if I recall correctly. I am installing one in this picture.Structure installed, as well as the indirect ligthing.Mirror glued in place and waiting for the product to cure. My father in law didn't want it to fall on us (probably worried about her daugther mostly) and used a high strength mirror glue. Like a full tube or so.Test picture (somewhat). This reminds me I still need to remove the piece of masking tape you see on the ceiling! Mikel

Reply:There's a piece of 2x2 going across the center with a foot on it but the foot isn't really needed and the 3/4 plywood is supported around the perimeter with 6" pieces of 1x1 square tubing Originally Posted by BigteeWhat did you use for supports across the frame? |
