Reply:Are the rest of the options such as pulser available and field installed?  Seems like a lot of knobs missing  thus a very basic machine without the options.  Any idea of cost for the rest of the options too?  ThanksBobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
Reply:Bob,Thanks for your interest.  The options are available and field install in about 90 seconds.  I've seen them occasionally on ebay for cheap but you can get the pulser for $211 from weldingsupply.com and $234 from Scott Gross. (Search ESAB 36227).  The slope control is about the same price but I personally wouldn't find it useful as I slope manually with a foot control.As for being a basic machine, I guess it is...but it's certainly a serious one.  A basic unit like this has covered 99% of all the welding jobs I've done in the past 15 years.  I've played around with pulsing for a couple of years, but most of the time I prefer not using it.Oh, and I forgot to mention the machine is single phase 230/460v.Kind Regards,Don
