welder is shorted to truck bed. touch ground to bed and it arcs. checked  +  stud for short it is good. where is my short?

Reply:Get flashlight, ohm meter and go looking for the worn or damage insulation.Resistance check from weld lead to case. Move stuff around until the short goes away.You may have to disconnect a few wires to locate the short. MAKE SURE YOU MARK WHERE THE WIRES GO. use colored tape and take pictures.The replace or repair the bad spot or terminal.
