Question on Briggs & Stratton in Weldanpower

Hey;I own a Code 8928 with a different question. Any way of knowing how much wear on this  16 HP Industrial engine ? Now that I did a lot of work on the welding end, don't want to lose a rod ! No hourmeter. Starts and runs good
Reply:only way I can think of, would be to take the head off push the piston down and measure the bore with an inside mic. Pull the oil pan and plastic gauge the main bearing.compare to specs. Then you will know how much it's worn. Or just put fresh oil in it and run it until it stops.
