Idealarc tig 250

I was given a Idealarc tig 250 that was hardly used. The tig torches all have gas valves on them, do I have to use this type or can I use one without. I do have the foot pedal with it. Any help would be great thanks Brian

Reply:It does have a hook up for a gas line.
Reply:The gas lines are at the bottom. I'm in the process of taking welding classes, this was given to me so in the process of cleaning it up so I can use it.

Reply:I had a Lincoln Dialarc 250/250 TIG stick for about 10 years. It's a great machine. Most of them came from the factory with both a gas and a water solenoid. You should look for them and see if they are working. They could have dirty connections or possibly they could be corroded and stuck.
