I took a part my welder and found the transient protector mounted to the face of the welder was fried. I see there are 2 orange capacitors that are good. But the to other red ones(not sure if there capacitors or diodes) are blown to pieces. The are in conjunction with the AC,DC+,DC- switch. They are listed as TP2 and TP3 rated for 150 Vac per the wiring schematic. Lincoln says the part is obsolete, but I was looking to replace them. Problem is I have no numbers or values since mine have gone to a better place. I was hoping someone could please take a look at there's and let me know what the numbers our on them. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.
Reply:Find an electronics part house. You want a 150 vac MOV. The higher the joule rating the better. Talk to you local TV repair guy. he might know a local source. Just get as close as you can.
Reply:Thanks for the reply. I will try tracking down one. |
