I had been thinking about getting one these for months for some of the metal art projects that I work on, and finally pulled the triger. So the order was placed, and I waited with anxiousness for the order to arrive. I had decided on this combo after much searching and reviewing videos on u-tube as I had tried other grinders but would bogg down when I would start to apply presure to wire brush verious items to remove small burs as well as mill scale. Then the new tools arrived, so my son and I jumped right in to dissasemble the parts from the 8 inch grinder in order to assemble the multitool parts tothe grinder. After a few minutes we had all of the stock stuff off and the multitool stuff on,and plugged it in. but to our surprise the grinder wouldnt power up like a grinder should, so we both stood there scratching our heads thinking we had done something wrong. So after a few more attempts at removing the belt and reinstalling it we were stumped,as the grinder would power up great with out the belt for the multitool, but not with it installed. I was really disappointed partly due to the fact that tricktools is 2 hours ahead of us here in Cali so it would not be till the next day Tuesday that I could call and find out what they had for input, so on tuesday morning I put in a call to Tricktools for advise as to what I could look for to resolve the problem. After a few clls back and forth it was determined that the grinder is faulty and that another would be sent out. today I called back to find out how the 1 grinder I have would be returned to tricktools oncethe new one got here, and to my surprise the one I have is not wanted back, Jet had made the decision that with shipping, repairs etc that it is not worth the hasle, so much to my delight I will end up with 2 grinders, that is the first for me now for the disclaimer I dont have any affiliation with either company, but what a great pair of companies to deal with.Ron

Reply:I've had mine for a year. It's one of the best tools I've bought in a long time. It's very versatile with all the different belts available for it. I use it daily.
