Reply:That is correct, torque to setting then add the degrees. If they are torque to yield bolts then you will need to use new bolts to get the torque correct.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:I personally loathe torque to yield fasteners. Having to buy new bolts every time you dissasemble something is a real big added pain in the azz. Reply:I think they make a torque angle gauge for that. I seem to remember one when I was a mechanic for Oldsmobile. I just can't remember if I ever bought one. Reply:Too bad it's not in your area. http://nh.craigslist.org/tls/3325149629.html Good price.Otherwise fleabay has some, usually. Measures the torque and angle.
Reply:Yeah I have an angle guage, got it off the snap-on truck. It was about $80. And makes it so much better to get the correct Degrees out of the bolt. Especially if you only have about 15 degrees of movement in a tight spot.Offering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW. |
