Reply:Your auto lens should have given you burn protection and not let your eyes be damaged. All of them I have seen have the UV protection even in the off mode or grind mode. Yous should be safe.
Reply:I had the battery quit on my auto hood while migging,finished the bead.Nasty bright, but no arc eye later.

Reply:Back in the olden days when you only had flip lenses, I can't count how many times I struck and arc with the lens up. Always needed about 30 minutes to get the eyes refocused.ChrisAuction Addict
