Looking to add to my library of books, and have been looking for a variety of books in regards to welding, and didn't notice if this has been talked about before unless I missed it,But what books and or reference material do you suggest, for beginners and so forth...
Reply:Lincoln has a lot of good books. Best being on page 2 "procedure handbook of arc welding". Pretty much covers everything about welding.http://www.jflf.org/SearchResults.asp?Cat=81.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Miller also has a lot of training materials available under the resources tab on there website. They used to have $35 student pack that had about a dozen guides in it that covered most welding processes but I did not see that on there website. A lot of there materials are also downloadable but I like to have the printed materials to read at my leisure.

Reply:My father in law just got me the Pocket Welding Guide. It should be around $8. Lots of good info in a small, easy to carry with you book.
Reply:Ebay is your friend, I've found anything from around 1930's through to WW2 is worth grabbing, no stuffing around in those days, welded everything and being a time of hardship, then war, tried anything. If nothing else, makes a great read, even if your eyes do bulge!Last edited by jackdawg; 03-28-2016 at 04:12 PM.
