I have a Miller Dialarc 250 for sale. It comes with a tig torch, work clamp and stinger (25' leads), WC 115A remote and a 30A Miller spool gun. Need to sell by this weekend. The only picture I have right now is attached, but I will take more and update all information this evening when I get home. Got my eye on some new equipment so I really need these gone. Looking to get $1300 for all of it together. Not really interested in splitting it up, but make an offer and we will see what happens. Thanks.Larry713 206 2880Houston/ Spring/ WoodlandsLast edited by loneroo; 01-04-2012 at 07:08 PM.Reason: more photosLarry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications4243 Burkegate Dr.Spring, TX 77373(832)[email protected]

Reply:Also have a RFCS14 to go with this set up. Would need a plug installed on the welder, but that can be done pretty reasonably.Larry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications4243 Burkegate Dr.Spring, TX 77373(832)[email protected]
Reply:Can I see a picture of the weld quality with this set up
Reply:I will do several tig and wire welds when I get back to town. Out on a job right now. The best thing about the set up is that it is complete. I am installing the plug and switch for the foot control on my return.Larry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications4243 Burkegate Dr.Spring, TX 77373(832)[email protected]

Reply:Was asking on for mig on aluminum, everyone keeps saying it doesn't run that good off the dialarc power source, and the wc115 is a voltage sensing control but still feeds a little erratic from time to time. I called miller and asked about a set up like that and the tech said it wouldn't run very good, but now I've seen a few people selling set ups like that, so I wanna see the aluminum mig quality
Reply:Just back in town. I have used the WC115A for running the 30A on many occassions, and it did just fine. Duane is right in that a "weldor" can make pretty much any machine do what is needed, but a person who can weld doesn't always have that ability. Should have pics for you tomorrow evening. The 30A is a type of MIG that can make some really nice welds with or without the WC115A. I have used it in conjunction with my shop Millermatic 350 and with my 211. The power source is pretty much just that, a power source; except for the duty cycle and amperage you are calling for.Larry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications4243 Burkegate Dr.Spring, TX 77373(832)[email protected]
Reply:loneroo,Sounds like a snake oil salesman to me.Let's see if I get this straight.  You're using a Constant Current (Dialarc) powersupply to perform GMAW (mig) which is a Constant Voltage process.I can buy that the 30A performs well on your MM350 (that's a CV power supply) but I'm curious how you hooked it up to the 211.Your comment about hooking a RFCS-14 foot pedal is pure bunk.  That pedal is in no way, shape or form (don't give a dang about a plug) compatable with a Dialarc.  It's designed for solid state power supplies.  Depending on the model Dialarc you have (needs to be a later model), you may be able to use the RFC-23A foot pedal.Let's be honest.  Have you ever used the 30A on the Dialarc? You say you're not interested in breaking up the set.  That's a shame, because the Dialarc is a great stick welder, and the 30A (with the proper power supply) is a great spoolgun, but together they don't work well (if at all).Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
Reply:Sundown, the use of the 30A with the Dialarc is made possible by the WC115A. It is a CC/CV unit that allows you to use the 30A with different power sources. Check the information on Millerwelds.com for the WC115A. You can find the manual for the voltage control under resources (http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o1078n_mil.pdf). As for my abilities to do anything; my fab shop (not one that I have access to), is in Houston. You don't know me or anything about me, so please keep your snake oil comments out of my post. I have been welding for more than 25 years and own and operate my own company with contracts that include sub-sea and nuclear builds.Larry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications4243 Burkegate Dr.Spring, TX 77373(832)[email protected]
Reply:Hi Larry. Sounds like a good set up. I don't question your welding abilities or honesty. I just wanted to 2nd the 14 pedal is not compatable with your Dialarc. It needs the 23A. Variable resistor value issue.good luck.HammerFile Big Hammer------------------------------Here, let me Google that for you...
Reply:I apprexiate the information on the foot pedal guys. Didn't realize I had the wrong one listed till yesterday evening. I have a 23A that went with it today. Sold it to a young welder just trying to get a side business going. Offered him full use of all of myfab shop and machine shop if he needs it too. Thanks guys.Larry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications4243 Burkegate Dr.Spring, TX 77373(832)[email protected]
