I guess it is the natural progression of things. Started more work out of my shop 5 years ago, notched with a chopsaw or torch. 2 years ago, I bought the notcher from Grizzly Tool, I am 1 hour away from their store, and was just using occasionally. Now, I am building rail on a constant basis. Had been looking to buy the Baileigh after much research, just had not got to it yet. In the middle of a job this morning, the Grizzly snapped in half.Ordered the TN-250, should be here middle of next week. Now I have to notch 30 more 1" tubes the old fashioned way, told customer job would be done this weekend. That will teach me to try to save money with cheap tools!

Reply:We just got one a couple of months ago to do some mitered notching and that beast is rock solid! Great tool!
Reply:I want one. But I may save my pennies for the TN-800. And just buy the TN-250 or the jd2 notch master for the time being. Reply:Nice. Another option like the TN-800 is to buy a horizontal mill and set it up for notching. They can usually be had for a couple hundred bucks.
Reply:UPS delivered last night! Unfortunately, I have been on 12's all week at work and it looks it will be Saturday before I get to use it. I did assemble it last night, man it is HEAVY DUTY!! I will try to get some pics up this weekend.
Reply:Kick A$$. I'm ready for a bender and notcher. Bender first, since the notching I need to do on this project can be done with a quick jig, and my drill press.-AaronJet 17.5" Drill Press1942 South Bend 16x84 Lathe1980s Miller 320A / BP --- 2013 Power Mig 2562012 Jet 7x12 Horizontal BandsawVictor O/A Setup

Reply:That tube notcher looks great! I'm partial to Baileigh too. They 'did me right' in my recent purchase. Here is my SBR 5126 3-in-1... Reply:I was close to purchase of the TN-250, but ended up with the JD2 notchmaster. In a couple of months after some use I'll comment on whether I made the right choice.
