Had to do some repair on a couple of trailers. The first one has been in service since 2005. When I built this one I think the pan I used was to thin. The 1/4 x4 braces punched up through the pan and the tank as well. I cut the pan off and installed a new one with thicker material.

Reply:Second trailer broke the bracket that holds the spring on the axel. This trailer has been in service Maybe 15 years. The welds looked solid when I cut them off. I am thinking just the length of service.
Reply:I put new axels, springs, and wheels and tires. Hope to get another 15 years. I forgot to mention that these trailers hold water tanks and can carry up to 1,400 gallons of water we usually only run with 1,100 or so . I also built a boom for the forklift to help move things around. What post would be complete without a photo of the welds. Last photo is a deadhead for a grain leg spout the old part had a hole worn in it I cut it off put in a new pipe and flange. There was no hurry on this one just wanted something simple . Thanks for looking.

Reply:Okay Ill critique the re-fit, 1,400 gallons of water = 11,683.370 lbs., original axles 5.2K each = too light for a full 1,400 gallons plus trailer weight. New axles 7.5K each leaves approx. 3K lbs. for the trailer = good positive change. The only item that bothers me is the lack of brakes. If this is used 100% OFF-ROAD then OK, but if this is used on the ROAD then a braking system would be my positive solution.Everlast PowerPro 256, Everlast W300 Cooler, Everlast Cart 250Millermatic 211, Spoolgun 100, Miller HD CartJackson W60 Truesight Digital Auto Darkening, Victor 315 Torch sitting on a Harper 830-86 cart

Reply:I was not driving when it broke. They told me it just broke. Original axels were 7,000 new ones are 8,000 .
