I was scrounging around in my scrap today, looking for some material to make hinges for a pit I am building, but couldn't find a thing.I went down to my local steel supplier to pick up some rod and tubing, and look what I found on his counter! They are a tad over 3" long, and just the right size for this smoker. $1.25 each!!If I could have found scrap to make hinges out of, I don't think I could have done it that cheap.I bought a few of them.Hobart Beta-Mig 2511972 Miller AEAD-200LEMiller 250 TwinNorthern Ind. Reply:You got a deal on them for sure. I think that size goes for about $4 at Steel Supply.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:i've seen a variation of those pins at the lws. they had a formed edge for welding and a grease fitting. i was going to try the larger size for a very heavy prison style barred gate but something told me they couldn't pass the angry c.o. test.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
