I am interested in bending up to 1/4 in aluminum sheet up to 6 ft long. how many tons for this? most ratings are steel gauges

Reply:Would it work for 6061T6? It seems like it would crack. Unless you need 6061 T6 I would switch to a more formable alloy, perhaps 3036, or 6061 with no heat treatment. Aluminum is tricky when it comes to bending, I might be wrong on the 3036 number, I'll have to check tommorrow

Reply:pretty sure I was thinking of the 5052, the 3036 alloy may have been one I used for angle notching and bending, |
