Tried some tig on a butt joint on some rectangular tubing some with filler some with out here are the first 4 sides no pedal dial arc 250
Reply:likely too long of an arc length and too large filler rod, but we can't be sure unless you disclose everything. It will help you get better critique if you do. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:Was at 70 on the second setting on a dial arc 250 and tungsten sticking out of cup about 3/8 of an inch my cup on a 20 torch is really short I don't have a cooler set up built yet filler is smaller than tungsten I'm thinking 1/16

Reply:yeah I would look at the hose your power cable is in and look for melted areas (Will be a sprinkler)anyway the weld doesn't look that bad I would suggest dabbing twice as fast as your doing now. That will keep a bit more heat in the joint but get an air cooled torch first or a chiller for your 20 if the hose isnt melted already Last edited by B_C; 01-19-2015 at 01:05 PM.
