Hello all,I thought since I have read about a million build threads on this site I would give back when I ever did a project other than the standard welding table thread. I have been at the hobby for about 10 months now and love everything about it. This is a fire pit table that is suitable for a beginner. There are lots of welds, but most of them are hidden when the table is fully assembled. If any of you are thinking about doing this project I would suggest buying your tiles first. That way you can build the frame around a tile template and you only have to slightly round the corners of the tiles for clearance of the the inside welds on the frame. I would think a HF diamond blade with a little water to cool the blade would work. 13 X 13 tiles are not 13 X 13. Syncrowave 210HH140Victor O/A

Reply:Very nice. I might have borrow that design from you.
Reply:MetalJunkie: Nice! beachbum: Don't worry, if you bought it at a BBS, it'll probably rust out over a couple of years (planned obsolescence) and you can build one that will last a lifetime! -Niche
Reply:Sweet idea . Nicely laid out. Looks like you had fun. Thanks for sharing.
Reply:Looks amazing. I only used one of those once at a restaurant in Cairo... A few questions. How well does it breathe? Did you think about installing some kind of blower at the bottom to get the coals up to speed somewhat faster? We are missing some detailed pictures of the inside of the grill!Mikel
Reply:I welded some 1 inch angle in four places at the bottom of the pit to get the logs up above the bottom plate. There are also some 3" X 10" cut outs along the bottom on two sides to help it breath. I guess you can't see it in the pics. I'll take pics when I get home from work tonight. Thanks for the compliments.Syncrowave 210HH140Victor O/A
