in a fit of mad brilliance i managed to break the gas hose - right at the ferrule - i was hoping i could try and thread/tap the large nut to take a barbed fitting and slide the hose back over that and clamp it with a hose clamp - anyone gone down that road before ? thoughts, comments all appreciated - marc

Reply:because i'm of the mind that if you could fix a thing - then you should . i think we all possess the skill to go out and buy a new one. curious if anyone else has done so.
Reply:well- as it turns out - this is a normal fix- your local shop or supplier can provide replacement ends for your hose and a crimp - cost will run around 12$ - it's low pressure for the gas - so not a major deal at all whatsoever . cheersmarc
