Hello everybody, we have a miller 211 at work it's a good machine but at times the wire feed is not consistent. It kinda sputters, we've tried new tips and new cable.... any ideas? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

Reply:Not being a smart a$$ , but the drive rollers match the wire right ?? Is this flux core ?
Reply:When you say cable do you mean the gun liner?
Reply:Inconsistent wire feed speed, I usually check the drive rollers first, then tension of the spool holder. If it's too tight then the drive rollers can't easily pull it off the spool. The drive rollers being too loose, can do the same thing. Not enough grip on the wire to move the wire properly. Make sure the MIG gun cable is as straight as you can get it, too.
Reply:I am talking about the clamp that goes onto the work piece. A poor quality , inconsistent ground is easily mistaken for wire feed or heat setting problems.Eventual master of the obvious, practitioner of "stream of consciousness fabrication". P.S.
