Look what I bought today

I got these two welders for $100. The seller said that they did not work. I wired up the big one and it welds great. The big one has DCEP, DCEN and AC settings.I burned about 6 rods. I used some 6010, some 6013 and a few 7018's. Flawless.What do you all think?Anyone ever owned an IDEALARC-180? Reply:I keep posting this pic....not to brag...but to give you guys something to think about.   Do the work of cleaning that bad boy up....and prime it with a good epoxy primer.  Treat it like a car.....and it can look this good or better.And clean the inside up too.  Rebuild parts are WIDELY available.  The one in the picture has new phenolic washers and copper coated lugs.  The switches are new, and the wires on the inside were replaced.   The guy sold it to me for $400....and he was grinning!!A guy on ebay has a liscense from Lincoln to make new face plates for these old boxes....so you can get those as well.Best of luck....have fun!JD Attached Images
