I have a Weldanpower 225 G7 Code#9340. It welds good and supplies power to the outlets fine. When I set the idle to auto it shuts down. I have 12vdc between wires 213 and 5E. As I was testing it it went to low idle and was good. I struck an arc and it went to high idle and then back down to low idle once. I shut it off and started it again and it just shuts down when I switch it to auto idle. The contacts are engaging. I am lost. Do any of you guys have any idea what my problem might be? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.
Reply:I fixed it.
Reply:Why don't you share how you fixed it for other people's reference in the future ?Weldandpower Lincoln 225 AC,DC with Briggs 16hp gas engine.WW2 era Miller TIG.
Reply:I'll guess he found a bad connection in the 215 wire between the coil and the idle pc board.213 is just 12vdc that is turned on by the idle switch. wire 5 is 12vdc ground.
