I have found a later model IdealArc 250 on Craigslist near me. The seller states it is a three phase input power. Where they ever three phase? This is the one:My JeepLincoln Power Mig 215 / Magnum 300 Mig Gun / SG Spool Gun / Dual TankLincoln X-TRACTOR 1GCMiller Digital Elite
Reply:This is how it is described:"Lincoln Idealarc 250 arc welder. Fair condition, this unit is for 3 phase electric $400.00"My JeepLincoln Power Mig 215 / Magnum 300 Mig Gun / SG Spool Gun / Dual TankLincoln X-TRACTOR 1GCMiller Digital Elite
Reply:Go look at the data plate on the back of the machine. Old ones were certainly available as three phase, but I'm not certain about the later versions. It may be connected for a higher single phase voltage and the seller not know that. I'd prefer to look then try to lowball the price without correcting the seller if it's a single phase unit.If it's a considerable drive, ask for the Lincoln code # and look up the SPECIFIC manual on their website.
Reply:I have the same welder . It was wired for 3 phase . It also showed a wiring diagram to set it up for single phase. I am currently using it for 220 volt single phase.
Reply:These machines are single phase. 400.00 for the later model is cheap in our area. The older one is on the right in your picture. If he hasn't sold it it is because that three phase business has confused his potential buyers. Runs great in your garage or shop. weldersales
Reply:These powersources will run on single or three phase power. They just have to be wired correctly for it.My idealarc 250 runs on 230v single phase power in my hoome shop. We have the identicle idealarc 250 to mine at work that runs on 575v 3 phase power.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720 |
