Precision Tig 185

I had a problem with my 185, when I turned it on today everything seemed to work fine, until I tried to use it.  Once i tried to strike an arc the display went out, and smoke started to come out of the machine.  I imediately turned off the machine.  I can't seem to locate the problem.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?Lincoln Precision Tig 18511108U1040812659
Reply:None have come to my shop. Get flash light and find where the smoke can from.we can make a guess what happened once we know what smoked.
Reply:I talked with Lincoln today and they have given me some input voltages to measure at the PC board. I will check it out tonite.
Reply:I have the 18 volts that is needed to operate the board, so I guess something is wrong with the board.  Has anyone ever had to have one of thes printed circuit boards repaired, if so who repaired it and how much was it?Thanks
Reply:The Lincoln service people tell me my control board is defective.  Does anyone know of somebody that repairs these boards or maybe has a used board for sale?Thanks for your help:

Reply:Thanks for your help I have tried York, Gem, and Innovate with no luck.  I have sent it to Griffith Electronics and the owner Tim is checking it out.  Hopfully he can repair it.  The new ones are expensive.  If that doesn't work I'll try Praxair.Thanks again

Reply:Were you able to get your circuit board repaired?  If so, who was able to do it, and how much did it cost?  I have one that also needs to be repaired.  I have a machine that welds sometimes and dosen't weld other times.  No signal to the gas solenoid, and the autobalance led won't light up.
Reply:Sorry for the delay, I haven't looked at the site for some time.  I ended up buying a new board for $900.Good luck
