Anyone here remember "Globemaster" tools?They were sorta big during the 60'S and 70'S..But are no longer made.They completely slipped my mind until I found this..This is NOT accurate at all..Brings back memories of Dad's automotive machine shop though..He never used it but kept it for laffs..He is never going to use any of his stuff again so I am in the process of sorting out what he has and I will be taking all the real precision mics and bore gauges to add to my toolbox at the shop.I will however be getting rid of the set of mics I have now so if anyone wants them I will make you a deal.Fowler..Mitutoyo..Pratt/Greenfield...0-11-22-34-5All mics are super precision but I don't need two of everything..Must take ALL.Pics on request.Any takers?...zap!Last edited by zapster; 03-01-2013 at 01:59 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:The "Globemaster bin".  Any place that sold tools usually had that bin of cheapo tools setting near the door so you had to see it on the way in and out. Always full of Globemaster goodies. Reply:I've noticed that some of the measuring tools at Home Depot are now Made in India.  Maybe the successor factory to Globemaster!!!
Reply:The only thing I would use one of those micrometers for is to throw it in my small drill bit drawer and use it to check drill bits when I need a particular size and can't read it on the shank.
