In the market for hose to hose, regulator to hose and hose to torch quick disconnects. There seems to be 2 suppliers of quick connect fittings for oxy. / fuel. Western and GENTEC. Any one with any experience with either product? Western is a known industrial supplier that I have used for other fittings with no problems. I have not used GENTEC product. On a related subject I see GENTEC has a torch line. Any experience or information? Shopping for type T hose also. Does any one have any tips as to where a good place to order the fittings from? Any help would be appreciated before I spend $.I came to the understanding that Western makes a torch to hose quick connect QDB40 that is OSHA compliant. Does that mean that the QDB10 is not? And where does that leave the GENTEC line?Last edited by gundog77; 03-18-2015 at 09:12 PM.Reason: Added OSHA information.

Reply:I sold my Western's and went with all Koike. I found the best price locally in N/W Indiana, S.J. Smith. I paid $38.00 per set."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Thanks for the heads up every one. That's the type of information I needed. I'll google the S.J. Smith place, but if it's handy could you post the contact information. Thanks again.

Reply:Koike are the best if you can find them. I had a guy one time that wanted the quick connects to attach the oxy and acet. hoses together so they wouldn't get dirt inside. He didn't quite understand why they were different and wouldn't couple together. Then he thought he could do it with air hose couplers. I asked him why he thought they made them so they won't couple together. He had no concept that it was like making a bomb.
Reply:The local Matheson has them but only the hose to torch in stock. The search continues.
Reply:I have Westerns but only because they were free and the other few sets were probably Stickmans that I bought kinda cheap.
Reply:westerns are good. so are koike's don't cheap out. I work at a torch and regulator repair shop so i made my own???.....
