Hey guys, I followed the instructions step by step up to the point where there are two pigtails hanging off the new advanced control panel. One is a black 12pin plug and the other is a black 2pin plug. The instructions said to plug in the 12pin and put it all back together. What about this 2pin? There is a 2pin receptacle on the board. It only seems to follow that it goes there. But the instructions don't say that. The instructions came with no wiring diagram and no pictures. I am sure most of the time they have pro shops install these. Anyways, I searched this site and found no mention of the install. I am going to call Lincoln tomorrow but thought I would ask here too since it is almost 7pm local time.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain
Reply:Try looking at the diagram for a pt375 code 11161Should answer your questions. But do call Lincoln and complain that it was left out of the instructions. You may have got an old set of instructions. The older kit only had one plug.It looks like they added a second plug.
Reply:Well, that is not a bad idea at all, considering the 375 comes WITH the advanced panel.Duh. I don't know why I didn't do that.Thanks. see? That's why I posted it! I knew someone was a lot sharper than my tungsten!Looking at the wiring diagram, it looks like that 2nd plug runs to the SPOT timer function. I know that was not an original upgrade feature. As the advanced control board part# changed. It is a 2wire line diagram there. And the other one is a 12wire combined for a simple diagram.Last edited by Joker11; 09-20-2011 at 12:59 AM.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain
Reply:Here was the response I got:Thank you for your inquiry through our website. We know that you have a choice when selecting welding products and we are glad you have chosen Lincoln Electric®.Hello , Thank you for your inquiry through our website and the opportunity to assist you with your concern. My name is Bill and I am part of the Customer Service Team at the Lincoln Electric Company. To answer your question. If you have a 2 pin to plug into then do so. Most of the problems are that there is NO other connector to connect to for the two pin. In this case it is not plugged in and no spot timer is available with that older version of machine.Thank you for choosing Lincoln Electric for your welding needs. We appreciate your continued business so please contact us if you have additional questions.Sincerely,BillService and Product Information GroupToll-free (North America) 888-935-3877The Lincoln Electric CompanyCleveland, Ohio USALincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain |
