Welding leads

I acquired longer leads but the plugs don't fit my welder.  Trying to find out what plug I need.  My welder is the new ahp alphatig.
Reply:I have no idea what plugs would fit that welder.  But you could probably just leave your originals hooked to the welder, take the stinger / ground clamp off and replace them with a commonly available connector like Tweco, then put the matching Tweco / whatever ends on your new leads and go to town.  Basically making your original leads be the adapter whip between the machine and your new leads.  This works if your old leads aren't too tiny to deal with the added resistance of a longer circuit.

Reply:Yes, the Lenco will be cheaper. You can just buy the size 50 Dinse male connectors too. If you buy the adapters you still have to buy the Tweco style male ends. Tweco has the Dinse connectors too.
