In this video, all variables are the same: 50amps, 15CFH flow, 3 second weld, no up or down slope. The only change is cup size. You can see the results of cup size on sielding and color.HF 98233 Stick/TigHF 95136 PlasmaEastwood TIG200Eastwood MIG250Damn, I cut it twice already and it's still too short!

Reply:I use just one cup on 99% of what I do 99% of the time.I see no difference. We have been over all this before....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:why don't you do a real world test where you do more than heat up a little round dot that can't help but stay in the gas the whole time? I did this with a #12 jumbo with the gas maxed out
Reply:Nice work timmy! How much cfh you use 80?i will watch the video later hopefully I learn somthing
Reply:Not much of an experiment with so many variables not being controlled...... -Hillbilly

Reply:I didn't see not much difference either the first one seemed the best. Maybe because good velocity. What do you weld with those big cups anyway?
Reply:Originally Posted by motolife313Thanks for sharing. That looks like a 5? I use 5 alot too and 6. I've noticed I need a longer stick out when welding aluminum or else I won't get cleaning action on both sides of the bead. I use 5 cup at 10 cfh most. What argon cfh do you use?
Reply:Nice!! If you need to pull it out like .750 or more do you go with a bigger cup and more cfh like 20 or more? |
