C25 300 cu ft cylinder price?

Didn't want to hi-jack the "Filling an Owned cylinder" post so I'll ask here. I have (or should say had) a personally owned 300 cf C25 cylinder that I exchanged at the local Air Gas location at a cost of $95. I felt like that was pretty high so I wanted to try another vendor next time. The problem is, I now have a cylinder that has the Air Gas label and neck ring on it. I'm guessing another vendor is not going to swap tanks with me and may not want to fill my current tank. Should I go ahead and do another exchange and Air Gas and request a tank without a neck ring on it? Any other suggestions?GraysOrnamentalIron.com

Reply:That's actually not a bad price for a 300 cu. ft. bottle of C-25 at $95 since they would charge $75 to exchange a customer-owned 160 Argon if I were still going there. But Shovelon is correct about other vendors perhaps not wanting to exchange a cylinder with Airgas stamped on it. Reply:You might try going back to Airgas and asking for your original blank neck ring bottle back. You are not the only one this has happened to.
